Quick run down.

Union voted Yes on the tentative contract.

We should emerge from Chapter 11 the middle of October.

While wrestling with my nephew Robbie, I suffered a devastating blow to my nose (no pun intended). I am now the proud owner of a slightly bruised probiscis, complete with a nice 1/2" cut down its bridge. It's healing nicely, but there still remains a bit of swelling... not to mention the remains of my shattered ego from letting the little monster get the better of me. :)

The weather here in West Virginia is starting to turn colder. Temperatures during the day hover in the high 70s, dropping to the mid 50s in the evenings. Decided to take my motorcycle for a spin prior to my church's Wednesday evening service. It was rather uneventful, although I did enjoy the winding country road that I chose. I'm going to miss the freedom and peace I feel when I'm motoring around, but I enjoy winter as well. Can't wait to hit the powder and enjoy time on the slopes.

Update: The union voted down the contract. We're still working, although I don't know for how long. The district bankruptcy judge is set to make a ruling today on whether or not the courts will set aside the current collective bargaining agreement with the union, meaning the hourly workers are welcome to stay, but they'll be working without a contract.

I've no idea what will come of this, I'm merely trying to remain somewhat positive given the events that have transpired these last few weeks. Thankfully church is this evening, so at least I have something to look forward to. :)
