1.  The above graph is for the first order decomposition of  chemical A. 

a) calculate the rate of the reaction from the points at 2 and 3 minutes. (Hint: use the equation rate= -D[A]/Dt



b) From the rate expression or rate law for a first order reaction (and the rate calculated in a)  to calculate the rate constant for the reaction.




c) Using the integrated form for first order  kinetics (Hint:  ln(Ao/A)= kt), calculate the rate constant based on the concentration at time 0 and 8 minutes.
