I am a professional Sociologist and the Program Manager for the Psychology Department at Marshall University in Huntington, WV, USA.  I provide administrative oversight for our Psy.D. practicum program, manage the day-to-day operations of the Psychology Clinic, provide oversight for our Psy.D. student's plans of study, and assist the Psy.D. Program Director.

  • 1998-2004  Adjunct Professor for the Sociology Department and School of Extended Education at Marshall University, where I taught Introductory Sociology.

 

  • 1987 - Present  I am a Reclaiming Trained teacher and have offered various classes in the community for over fifteen (15) years.

Personal: I am a graduate of Marshall University, where I obtained my B.A. in Basic Humanities - Classical Studies emphasis -  in 1997 and I obtained my M.A. in Sociology in 1999.  My graduate area of emphasis was social inequality and Appalachian Studies.

Aside from being a professional Sociologist, I am a Classicist and an amateur Historian and Mythologist 

I was ordained as a minister in July 1998 and work with the Reclaiming Tradition of Earth-Based Spirituality.

I am also a trained Fair Housing Investigator.  I work on contract with the City of Huntington and the Huntington Human Relations Commission to investigate allegations of discrimination in the rental and sale of housing.

I am a native of West Virginia where I live with two cockatiels - Maverick and Baby, and three Dachshunds - Brody, Petey, and Cookie.
